“Good Concept, lacking execution”

Stayed at Pagoda Rocks for 4 nights in November 2010 as a family with 3 children under 8. The concept the owner is trying here is good, however it is lacking some points.

On the positive, the rooms are good size and the pool is great.

The negatives, lack of towels for use in the pool area. flooding in the bathroom. There was an offense odor near the restaurant that we believe was cat droppings, this was never attended to by the staff. The staff were quite sloppy, there attention to detail was at best...poor! There was no urgency to there work and became quite frustrating.

The food was OK but after 4 days we had everything on the menu, there is a distinct lack of choice. There is very little kid friendly meals on the menu.

It is a real shame that the service at this hotel was so poor as I am certain for Pagoda Rocks to be a success it needs repeat business. If the service had of been better I would definitely have gone back, but unfortunately I will not be retuning.
