“Best hotel on the tour - best food - best pool - great location”

We were part of a tour group touring Cambodia and Vietnam for 2.5 weeks. Of the six hotels on the tour, the Somadevi Angkor Hotel was unquestionably the best hotel. We arrived four days ahead of the tour group and, for a few dollars more, opted for a Deluxe room which had a private balcony and overlooked the pool. We travel a lot and what made this hotel special for us were (1) its central location; (2) best and varied breakfasts; (3) gorgeous, large, inviting, and warm swimming pool; (4) on-site spa and massage; and (5) warm, friendly and helpful staff. The hotel offers free wi-fi and free use of computers in the busines center. Rooms are equipped with tea/coffee maker, min-fridge, safe, separate bath and shower, and air-conditioning. It is within easy walking distance to the markets, shops, and Pub Street. In preparing for our trip and booking the extra days at the hotel before the tour group's arrival, we exchanged several emails with the hotel. Each time, the hotel staff responded very quickly and were extremely helpful. When the tour group arrived, the hotel let us extend our stay in our upgraded room at no extra charge. The next time we return to Siem Reap, we plan to return to the Somadevi Angkor Hotel.
